Inspired by Norman McLaren’s scratch-on-film experiments, this mixed-media animation visually interprets Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers’ "A Night in Tunisia". Created using scratch-on-paper techniques, straight-ahead animation, hand-drawn ink and oil pastel, and stop-motion, the piece explores rhythm, texture, and improvisation through spontaneous mark-making and layered movement.
